Obertauern - snow guarantee in the Salzburger Land
Obertauern is certainly a standout in terms of snow sureness! No matter the whether south or north of the Alps Obertauern is guaranteed to receive
some snow due to its unique location on a mountain pass 1800m above sea level and is thus also among the first resorts to open its gates in November.

Expert skiers can enjoy a true highlight in Obertauern. The Gamsleiten 2 trail. However the Gamsleiten 2 is very much exposed to wind
and weather thus a descent is only possible when whether conditions allow. I recommend all skiers the Tauern Round. It's a ski
roundabout which takes you around the resort clockwise or anti-clockwise depending on preferences. And for a skiing break I recommend
to stop by at the Treff 2000, my personal favourite which is only a step from the mountain station of the Grünwaldkopfbahn. And after
lifts close Obertauern boasts tons of possibilities to party! Thus Obertauern receives also in the Apres ski department top marks!
