The main slogan of Hochzillertal Hochfügen is "The best connection". Meant by the connection is that the ski resorts Hochfügen
and Hochzillertal are connected by lift facilities. In total it offers 162km of groomed slopes. This makes the resort the third biggest
ski area in the Zillertal Valley. Mayrhofen and the Zillertal Arena are the two biggest. More than half of the slopes are marked
as intermediate difficulty which makes it the perfect area for advanced skiers. My favourite slopes lead from "Marchkopf"(2501m) down to
Hochfügen base station! Another great thing about the resort is the newly build 8-seater chairlift which brings the skier to Öfelerjoch
situated 2300m above sea level.
The ski resorts caters to beginners and families as well. There is a really nice practicing area next to the mountain station of the
"Kaltenbach" gondola. For those who want to hang out and enjoy some drinks after skiing should go to the base station at Kaltenbach.
But the village itself is a lot calmer at night. If you want to party all night long the better place to be is certainly the neighboured Mayrhofen.
